I will be attending September 2 – 5, 2011 at Dragon*Con in Atlanta, GA as a guest author. As it’s their 25th anniversary they’re bringing all the big guns in, star-wise. Every SF/F actor to ever perform will probably be there (and I sat at a restaurant table next to James Edward Olmos last year…SO SAY WE ALL!) I saw this and I had to literally watch it twenty-five times in a row to catch every bit of scrollery, every line of verse, every flash of a scene. It is a graphic novel-style book trailer and it blew me the hell away. I’d never seen anything like it. It’s edgy, it’s beyond entertaining, and it’s so fast it could inflict seizures in Japanese children (you know the urban legend.) Bottom line: it FRIGGING ROCKS and it sums up TRICK OF THE LIGHT and THE GRIMROSE PATH–the entire TRICKSTER Series in a string of scenes and flashes of light that are pure beauty and a level of kick-ass that might exceed the books themselves. The video for CHIMERA is now live on the web… I’d go on and on about how fantastic it is, but I think you’ll be able to see that for yourself. And Stefan… oh yeah… oh yeaaaah. It’s truly brilliant. If I didn’t know it was a book video, I’d be saying, damn, when’s that movie coming out?? (you can’t tell me it doesn’t beat Piranha 3D.)
