An excellent review of BASILISK has been posted at Bookshelf Bombshells as a follow-up to their CHIMERA review written in early August. …From the moment the brothers hit the road, the story takes off like a rocket. Like any good thriller, there are car chases, gun fights, hand-to-hand combat, abductions, and incendiary devices. Basilisk has a strong voice and maintains a constant tension, except for the rare occasions when the flawed heroes stop to catch a breath. Naturally, that’s when everything goes wrong. Misha must find ways to protect his all-too-human companions — his ferret seems to do fine on its own. It would be so much easier to be the killer he was trained to be, but maintaining his hard-won humanity...
